Medieval Leia, birthday stuff

So Friday night we threw up the smaller backdrop and quickly reshot Medieval Leia and TFA Leia. They turned out MUCH MUCH better. No more harsh shadows from the buns across my face and TFA dress isn’t blown out.

I got medieval Leia pics back and uploaded yesterday.

So I’ll have her portfolio page updated sometime soon. I’m hoping to have TFA Leia tomorrow.

But before my photoshoot, I drove out to Germantown to meet Chase to pick up my birthday present:

My new bike!! This was a present from multiple people and I’m super excited. Saturday morning we took it out the greenline. There was some adjustment but overall I’m really happy. I need to get a helmet so I can start riding it around our neighborhood.

Saturday night we had my 90s-Board-Game Birthday Party. Nana and Kristie let us have it over at their house where we had more space. Chase cooked a cheese fondue for everybody with bread, apples and sausage for dipping. We also got pizza rolls and bagel bites, LOL. Ash made some pie cookies, and her mom sent us a fruit pizza, and Cat and Rach brought chick-fil-a nuggets. I was worried about having enough food….. we had too much food!!

Fruit pizza!

Pie cookies! (I had the smores one!)

Pizza rollllllls

Nobody wanted to be in my IG story LOL

First up was the one we were all excited to play, the Star Trek TNG Interactive VHS board game!

I had brought my sewing room TV/VCR combo so we could play the video on it. And everytime we tried to play it or rewind it, the whole TV would shut off. (Yet it would play and rewind the MST3K tape I had in it just fine). Super weird. So we were all on the verge of being bummed we couldn’t play it until Cath found the whole video on youtube. So we pulled it up on the ipad and played it off that.

“I will tempt you!”

Lauren abandoned us. Gabe defeated Kovak. Yay!

And then the VCR worked Ok for playing Party Mania next.

And realized the game we’d played a gazillion times in our childhood had a now-familiar face in it…

Jewel Staite!

Three of us got to go to the party. Four folks were left behind with the nerds.

Then time for one more game – Mall Madness!

Lauren won!

By then it was nearly midnight so we cleaned up and headed home. It was a lot of fun.

We didn’t get a chance to get around to Mystery Date but that’ll be next time.

Sunday was uneventful except for going to see my cousin’s play, it was really good. Then we came home and fell asleep on the couch.
